Here is an excellent documentary on the Afghanistan War as it now stands with all its complications and futility. Fickle support from the backward locals, insurgency tactics, impossible countryside and the fact that Pakistan are harboring/supporting the bad guys.

Included is commentary from Robert Kaplan, who was on the ground and wrote extensively of the Soviet war in Afghanistan.
