May the Ghosts of Christmas Be Good to You Tonight

  1. I'm currently watching "Scrooge" on CBC or what really should be called, A Christmas Carol. I believe this movie, like the novel was once called that. Anyway, the 1951 is the best version and anyone but Alastair Sim playing Scrooge is a cheap imposter.

    Merry Christmas Sea Salt!

May the ghost of your Christmas future be kind.

  2. Strack, you have to see this animated version. (Alistair Sim does the voice, so it's not a cheap imposter) It's 20 minutes and it's extremely powerful. I remember it from when I was a kid, but they haven't shown it on tv for the last 25 years. I downloaded it, but the full video is available on Google video:

  3. Alistair Sim is good but, actually you should have a look at the one starring Fonzie.

  5. Kaelsu, good stuff! Definitely a darker version I enjoy. Speaking of which I prefer the old black and white of the 1951 version. Too bad they felt they needed to add colour. Anyway, the animated version is well done.

Mrs. Sea Salt.... LOL! I remember saying something not near as eloquent sitting in my basement one Christmas day.
